DAT6 Calculus 2 2011E

I am instructing the course Calculus 2, in Q2 2011 (view course description or aula-homepage). I am continuing from Calculus 1 with DAT6, the timeslot is changing to Mondays from 10 AM to 12 AM and the room to 5342-020 (see map). As we only have two hours each week, you are expected once again to have completed the exercises on the weekly notice beforehand - I will do my best to send out email with exercise delegation so you know where to focus your efforts.

Updates

Hand-in form for final assignment now works

It seems I made a mistake, which meant that the hand-in form for the final assignment didn't work. This is now fixed.

The final assignment deadline

Please be aware that I have set the deadline for the final assignent (number 7) to midnight on the eleventh of December. Please hand it in earlier if you can - the reason for this deadline is that it allows me to correct the last couple of handins monday morning before the lesson, so you have time to get them back.

As you may also have noticed from the weekly notices, the final deadline for re-handins and the likes, is the fourteenth of December. Please observe this deadline, for your own best!

Clarification for the third assigment

It seems to me that the third assignment could use a little clarification: you are supposed to find the area bounded by the equations given in the exercise text in the first octant (x,y,z ≥ 0).

The fourth and fifth assignment

These assignments provide you with invaluable feedback on how you are doing with regards to the exam. I sincerely recommend doing them, if you want to do well at the exam!

Assignment deadline

The deadline for hand-in assignments will be Wednesday at 12.04pm this time around. This means the first assignment is due on the 2nd November.

Once again it will be possible to hand in assignments on this page, however please be aware that site malfunction is not a valid excuse for being late or sending me emails with your assignment. So basically, if it doesn't work, it is your responsibility to get a paper copy to my inbox at the information office at dept. of mathematics. That having been said, I am very interested in any pdf/webbrowser/operating-system combination that consistently causes the site to malfunction, and as such would love to see some examples (I have yet to see the first example of this).

Likewise, in Calculus 1 some students had a hard time getting their computer to format the output so it was correct and/or legible. Therefor i stress: check your pdf's before hand-in, and if all else fails, do the parts that wont come out propperly in hand!

Hand-in Form

NOTE: Only *.pdf files will be accepted. The computer is hard wired not to accept *.doc, *.docx, *.odf or any other format you might think of. If you use Windows, Cute PDF writer is a free program for creating *.pdf files.

If you hand in multiple files, only the most recent one will be kept. Be sure to note your name and matriculation number (studiekortnummer) in the file!
