Working with G2

This page intended to present some calculations I have done with Piotr Kobak in the exceptional Lie algebra G2. In our paper on `HyperKähler Potentials in Cohomogeneity Two' we refer here for details of the calculations in the G2 case. These were performed using Maple.

• Documented source and sample session: pdf (with good cross references), postscript.
• Maple code:
  • general routines for working with G2;
  • specific routines for calculation of the potential;
  • code for a sample calculation.
• These are all derived from a noweb source file. The documentation requires raw output from a sample session to be compiled.
• There is a simple Makefile (rename to Makefile after downloading).

An earlier version of the above code that is not so thorough or readable is also available from this page.

The derivation of the potential is available in postscript or as a Maple worksheet. The latter requires a Maple file of routines, which is currently partially documented and is available as a Noweb file.
